Aims and Objectives

Chances are that if you’ve been at a Darebin festival or cultural event over the past 20 years, you’ve enjoyed an ARCappella performance. ARCappella has provided a platform for not only people to grow and develop their vocal talents, but also to encourage community spirit and engagement through participation in group singing. ARCappella members are volunteers and a number have been singing with the choir since joining ARC as a teenager or young adult, growing up in this group, which now features singers of all ages. ARCappella’s Aims and Objectives are:

  • To encourage and develop the vocal talent of people in the northern suburbs of Melbourne
  • To achieve a high level of expertise within the choir, promoting self esteem and self worth amongst its members
  • To perform at community festivals and other occasions and participate as part of the community.

In 2009, ARCappella was awarded with the City of Darebin Australia Day Award for its contribution to the Darebin Community.
